In Norwegian, some words are supposed to be written separately, like:
Han ble slått i hjel (not ihjel)
However, when words that are not supposed to be written separately, as it would change the sentence's meaning.
- "Ananas ringer" is bad, because a pineapple can not call (ringer) anyone.
- The problem is that "ringer" is also plural of "ring" as in english "ring".
